The page asks why AI infrastructure adoption lags despite its role as the AI ecosystem’s backbone, comparing AI applications to Formula 1 cars and infrastructure to dirt roads.
The page says each person may soon consume a cluster’s worth of compute and that AI chat prompts already activate a cluster for each user.
Technical blog from the Aranya team. Engineering notes, research, and analysis behind clusterdOS, the open-source distributed OS for GPU infrastructure.
Hydra Host provides bare metal compute and operational support to AI inference and training companies. Aranya's clusterdOS enables production-ready Kubernetes without a platform team across varied datacenters and hardware configurations.
clusterdOS is open source and free to self-host. Aranya Multicluster OS pricing is coming soon. Fully managed clusters run $0.06 to $0.16 per GPU per hour.
Aranya is the multicluster operating system that turns any bare metal into custom production-ready clusters in 48 hours. Powered by clusterdOS.
Aranya launches with $11 million to convert bare-metal servers into production-ready GPU clusters for AI inference in less than 48 hours. Its open-source, Kubernetes-based clusterdOS automates deployment and maintenance across heterogeneous hardware, diagnoses and resolves GPU, networking and other hardware faults, and provides federated cluster management with permission controls. The company says it manages more than $500 million in GPU hardware and will use the funding to expand its teams and launch a multicluster interface.

Aranya secures $11 million in total funding to build its bare-metal cluster management business. The funding includes a $9 million seed round led by First Round Capital, with Box Group, Vermilion Cliffs and Asylum Ventures participating, and a $2 million pre-seed round led by Asylum Ventures, with Founder Collective, Parable VC and Uncommon Ventures. The San Francisco company says it manages more than $500 million in GPU hardware and will use the capital for engineering and go-to-market hiring and to launch an AI-native multicluster interface.

Aranya exits stealth with a GPU orchestration strategy, with its Hydra Host deployed across more than 1,700 GPUs and reportedly reducing cluster downtime by 90 percent. EdgeIR frames the launch as part of a shift in AI infrastructure value from GPU ownership toward orchestration, as providers compete on reliability and time-to-market rather than raw capacity.

Aranya launches ClusterdOS, a cluster-scale operating system, and partners with NVIDIA cloud partner Hydra Host on bare-metal AI. The partnership cuts production cluster setup from two-to-six weeks to under 48 hours and reduces cluster downtime by 90 percent. At launch, partners run ClusterdOS across more than 1,700 GPUs; Aranya has not disclosed its investors.
