AptLNP is Atombio's lipid nanoparticle delivery system for extrahepatic delivery. Traditional LNPs tend to accumulate in the liver; AptLNP adds a targeting layer of AI-designed, cell receptor-specific aptamers that wraps the LNP and directs it to defined extrahepatic tissues and cell types, including cancer cells and immune cells. The aptamer layer integrates with existing LNP formulations and can be programmed to bind cellular receptors.
The system targets multiple cell surface receptors simultaneously using the cell surfaceome. For CAR-T applications, AptLNP enables in-vivo generation of CAR-T cells with transient, controlled CAR expression, repeatable non-viral lipid dosing, no permanent CAR integration, no preconditioning requirement, and aptamer ligand density tuned per application.
