AusperBio completes a $120 million Series C financing led by a strategic investor, with new backer RA Capital Management participating. The proceeds will fund the AHB-137 Phase 3 registrational program, commercialization readiness, and the AHB-171 siRNA candidate as the company advances next-generation HBV therapies.
AusperBio doses the first patient with AHB-171, its investigational HBV siRNA candidate. AHB-171 is the first clinical asset from the company’s Au-HALO liver-targeting delivery platform.
AusperBio completes patient enrollment in the Phase III AUSHINE study of AHB-137 for chronic hepatitis B. AHB-137 is the company’s lead antisense oligonucleotide (ASO), which it is developing for a functional cure of chronic hepatitis B.
AusperBio reports that AHB-137 monotherapy achieved a 30% functional cure rate in HBeAg-negative chronic hepatitis B patients maintained on stable nucleos(t)ide analogue therapy.
