Bolb Inc.: U.S.-based UVC LED epitaxy stack provider and semiconductor manufacturer for various industries.
Bolb markets highest power, efficiency, and lifetime at 265 nanometers, supported by an emission-transparent epi stack and certified LED lifetime. The company argues that fewer parts and simpler optics, drivers, and thermal design lower the cost of a complete system solution.
The founding team brings decades of III-nitride experience and more than one hundred patents, which the company presents as the basis for its device performance. Bolb frames these advantages as the reason customers can build compact, high-output ultraviolet disinfection products.

Bolb targets point-of-use and point-of-entry disinfection across water, air and HVAC conduits, transportation surfaces, hospital chambers and surge tents, and food-safety water and surface treatment. The company cites a single LED treating five liters of water per minute with greater than 99.99 percent E. coli kill as one illustration.
Bolb sells both directly and through distributors including WPG Americas, Griot Group, Laser Components, Lumitronix, Anglia, Elgood, Alltek, and Prohubs, giving it coverage across the Americas, Europe, and Asia.

Bolb fabricates ultraviolet-B and ultraviolet-C emitters on a patented transparent crystal stack, combining metal-organic chemical vapor deposition epitaxy with ultraviolet-transparent packaging. The approach is intended to increase the optical power and efficiency that reaches the target surface.
The product line covers 2-by-2 SMD modules, 5-by-5 S6060 arrays rated near 2.2 to 2.5 watts of optical output across 265 to 280 nanometers with a 150-degree view, 1-by-12 arrays, and 12-inch stripe modules. Bolb also supplies bare dice and reference designs for OEM integration, and reports that the 5-by-5 array achieves 99.95 percent single-pass inactivation of airborne coronavirus and staphylococcus at 3,000 liters per minute.
