Disney appoints Karandeep Anand as its first chief technology officer, creating a new C-suite role that reports to CEO Josh D'Amaro and takes effect Oct. 2. Anand, formerly CEO of Character.AI, will oversee enterprise technology, infrastructure, data and AI platforms, product and engineering; Disney is also hiring members of Character.AI's technical team.
