Certintell began as a telehealth platform built to give patients at safety-net providers remote access to care their local clinics could not otherwise deliver, an idea that started with mental health providers engaging patients at a distance. It operates as a care management company, pairing a HIPAA-compliant, cloud-based telehealth platform with clinical services across remote therapeutic monitoring, remote physiologic monitoring, and tech-enabled care management.

Certintell differentiates on integration depth, building API, single sign-on, EDI, CCD, and health-information-exchange connections into the electronic records safety-net clinics already run rather than stopping at HL7 interfaces. Its platform is customizable to each health center's own brand, and it is aimed at safety-net providers reaching underserved populations.
