Cloud 66 is a DevOps platform for deploying and managing web applications on developer-owned cloud infrastructure.
Cloud 66 differentiates from fully managed PaaS providers by giving development teams direct ownership of their cloud infrastructure accounts, enabling full access to cloud provider capabilities, greater data sovereignty, and direct cost control compared to intermediary pricing models. The infrastructure ownership model retains all underlying cloud provider features that fully abstracted platforms conceal from customers.
The platform supports multiple cloud providers and bare-metal environments, reducing vendor lock-in risk compared to single-cloud PaaS offerings, while automating day-two operational tasks including security patching, database backups, and autoscaling that typically require dedicated site reliability engineering resources.

Cloud 66 requires customers to maintain active cloud provider accounts and manage billing relationships with underlying infrastructure providers directly, adding administrative overhead compared to fully abstracted PaaS offerings where the provider handles server management. Teams without dedicated DevOps resources may find that the infrastructure ownership model demands more operational expertise and ongoing attention than comparable turnkey alternatives provide.
The platform ecosystem of pre-built integrations and community add-ons is narrower than established PaaS marketplaces, limiting one-click third-party service availability relative to larger provider ecosystems. Documentation coverage for edge-case configurations and support response depth can lag behind cloud provider-native tooling that benefits from significantly larger engineering and community investment.

The application deployment automation market is expanding as engineering teams adopt cloud infrastructure without building in-house site reliability engineering capacity, with platform engineering tooling demand increasing across SMB and mid-market segments. Infrastructure-retaining deployment platforms occupy the segment between raw IaaS and fully managed PaaS, serving organizations that require production-grade automation without ceding cloud account ownership to an intermediary.
Competitive intensity is increasing from multiple directions: major cloud providers are extending native PaaS capabilities, open-source Kubernetes tooling is maturing into accessible operational defaults, and funded competitors are acquiring customers through simplified hosted infrastructure offerings. Sustained differentiation for infrastructure-retaining platforms depends on automation depth for day-two operational tasks including patching, scaling, and incident response, as well as breadth of multi-cloud provider support relative to single-cloud native alternatives.

Cloud 66 is a London-based application deployment and operations platform serving engineering teams at SMBs and growth-stage companies that require production-grade infrastructure automation without surrendering cloud account ownership to an intermediary provider. The company has generated recurring SaaS revenue since its 2012 founding, participated in Techstars Austin 2014, and operates with an estimated team under 40 across a tiered subscription model spanning free, developer, team, business, and enterprise tiers.
Key differentiation rests on the infrastructure-ownership model, which preserves direct cloud provider cost control and data sovereignty for customers and retains access to native cloud features that abstracted PaaS platforms conceal. Principal commercial risk is commoditization pressure from cloud-native PaaS improvements and open-source Kubernetes tooling that progressively narrow the automation gap, requiring continued investment in day-two operational depth and multi-cloud breadth to maintain competitive positioning.

Cloud 66 uses a tiered subscription model with a permanent free tier limited to one deployment server and five deployments per day, and paid plans beginning at 23 USD per month for the Developer tier and scaling to 80 USD per month for the Business tier. Annual billing provides approximately 20 percent savings compared to monthly rates across all paid tiers.
Team and Business plans include additional servers, unlimited deployments, autoscaling, SAML SSO, and expanded static site traffic allocations proportional to tier. Enterprise customers receive custom pricing with dedicated account management, on-premises deployment options, and priority support for large-scale or compliance-sensitive deployments.

Cloud 66 provides an application deployment and operations platform that allows engineering teams to deploy and manage web applications on cloud infrastructure they directly own and control. The platform supports containerized workloads via Docker and Kubernetes, alongside traditional application stacks including Ruby on Rails, Node.js, Python, PHP, and Go, across major cloud providers including AWS, GCP, Azure, DigitalOcean, and Linode.
Core platform capabilities include automated server provisioning, deployment pipelines with rollback support, managed database services with replication, load balancer configuration, SSL certificate management, and policy-based autoscaling. The platform offers a tiered subscription model starting with a free tier and paid plans scaling to enterprise contracts, with annual billing discounts available.
