Cunha Soares builds and maintains low, medium, high and very high voltage power lines, substations and associated civil construction.
Cunha Soares pioneered overhead power line construction in Portugal and works across the full voltage range from low voltage lines to 400 kV very high voltage lines and substations. Integrated civil construction crews let it deliver a complete electrical infrastructure project, from earthworks and foundations through to energization.
Quality, safety and environmental management systems are certified under NP EN ISO 9001:2015, NP ISO 45001:2019 and NP ISO 14001:2015. As part of the Visabeira group, the company combines group scale with specialized line construction crews experienced in Portugal, elsewhere in Europe and in Africa.

Cunha Soares operates from Lousada in northern Portugal and delivers projects across Portugal and Europe, with Germany among its most prevalent foreign markets. Its African operations span Sao Tome and Principe and Guinea-Bissau, covering power generation, distribution networks and public lighting.
The contractor serves electricity network operators and public and private developers, with subsidiary Biletric SARL anchoring part of its West African presence. Project teams mobilize from the Lousada base while permanent crews support long-term maintenance contracts abroad.

Cunha Soares builds and maintains low, medium, high and very high voltage overhead power lines, including 60 to 400 kV projects run as new greenfield builds or long-term maintenance. Its crews assemble, lift and reinforce metal structures and install and replace conductors, guard cables and communication cables, and it constructs substations as new builds, replacements of existing greyfield installations and reconfigurations.
A civil construction arm delivers the earthworks, foundations, drainage, land networks and demolitions that very high voltage line projects require. Operations in Africa extend to power generation, distribution networks and public lighting.
