Dropbox Paper is Dropbox's collaborative document-editing product for teams. It grew out of Hackpad, the real-time collaborative wiki Dropbox acquired in April 2014, which first informed Dropbox Notes and was rebranded as Paper in October 2015 before a public launch in January 2017.
When Dropbox shut down Hackpad on July 19, 2017, remaining Hackpad documents were migrated into Paper. Paper offers web and mobile apps for shared notes, wikis, and project docs inside the Dropbox ecosystem.
