Product Overview

Ecube Labs builds its offering line around one connected system: the CleanCUBE solar-powered compacting bin, the CleanFLEX fill-level sensor that retrofits onto existing containers, and the CleanCityNetworks cloud platform that turns fill-level data into collection routes and pickup predictions. CCNx is the company's waste-analytics platform, presented on its own product page for analyzing waste collection data.

Each offering has its own first-party product page, so buyers can adopt the compacting bin, retrofit containers they already own with CleanFLEX, or run the CleanCityNetworks and CCNx platforms where waste data already exists. In the United States, the company separately operates Haulla, a business-to-business platform that matches waste generators with waste haulers. The company states its products are used in over 57 countries.

Competitive Advantages

Ecube Labs is vertically integrated across hardware, sensing, and software: it manufactures its own solar-powered compacting bin and offers a retrofit fill-level sensor, and both feed its own cloud platform, so a buyer can take one vendor's stack from container to dashboard. First-party product claims state compaction holding up to five times more waste, collection reduction of up to 80 percent, and collection-efficiency gains of up to 50 percent.

Its competitive positioning rests on an installed footprint the company says spans over 300 cities in 60 countries, a nationwide United States procurement contract that shortens public buying cycles, and a machine-learning route optimizer with predictions up to 24 hours ahead. Korean business press reported a 70 to 80 billion KRW valuation in 2023, with the Haulla platform at 4,300 customers in 20 United States cities in May 2023.
