Edenic Energy helps owners of older buildings use building data to plan energy and operational upgrades.
Edenic Energy competes in a building-decarbonisation software field where digital platforms help property professionals decide how to retrofit commercial assets. Its Building Information Engine starts from a building's stored documents, while retrofit-planning tools such as Building Atlas model property data into costed pathways and building-analytics platforms such as Clockworks Analytics and Nuuka AI work from building-system and meter data.
UKGBC's October 2024 review of retrofit platforms found that many tools pair asset performance data with actionable plans covering expected costs, predicted performance, risks and returns. Edenic's beta-stage document hub is narrower in scope than those portfolio-planning products, which already deliver costed, scenario-based outputs to asset managers, lenders and advisers.

Demand for retrofit planning software rests on regulation and capital pressure rather than discretionary spending. UKGBC's October 2024 review notes that commercial buildings in the UK are responsible for 23% of built environment carbon emissions and that they must be retrofitted at scale.
The recast Energy Performance of Buildings Directive requires building automation with continuous monitoring and fault detection for large non-residential buildings, extending to systems above 70 kW by the end of 2029. That direction widens the pool of owners who need building-level upgrade evidence, though Edenic Energy's beta product must still convert that demand into paid deployments.

Edenic Energy is positioning its Building Information Engine as the entry point for owners who need to plan upgrades to outdated properties. The platform gathers a property's documents into one repository and turns them into an upgrade plan, which gives the company a document-led niche rather than a live-control one.
Because the engine both stores those documents and applies analytics to them, it keeps record-keeping and upgrade analysis in one workflow. Access remains limited to a beta group, so the product has not reached general commercial availability.
