eIQ Energy is an engineering company that designs power-conversion and distributed-energy systems for renewable power applications. Its current practice covers grid-tied, off-grid, community-microgrid and nanogrid engineering, from feasibility and site analysis through design, permitting, project management and commissioning. The company works alongside project developers and equipment providers from its base in Santa Clara, California, where it serves commercial, community and remote-power projects.
The company grew out of a team of power-electronics, power-semiconductor and power-conversion specialists and built its early reputation on the vBoost DC-to-DC converter module and the Parallux power-management system, which reached installations across several megawatts of solar arrays. Backed by venture capital, it has since carried that power-conversion expertise into engineering services for microgrids and nanogrids, and its converter technology continues to appear inside third-party solar and storage products.
