Graves’ disease and thyroid eye disease share thyroid stimulating autoantibodies targeting the Thyroid Stimulating Hormone Receptor (TSHR), but no approved therapies address both conditions.
Ethyreal Bio is enrolling patients in a clinical trial of ETHY-001, which targets the shared driver of Thyroid Eye Disease and Graves’ Disease.
Patient resources explain Thyroid Eye Disease and Graves’ Disease, including their connection, and list organizations offering related information.
In healthy volunteers, ETHY-001 showed strong and lasting engagement with the TSHR target after a single dose. The drug demonstrated rapid, dose-dependent activity with a pharmacokinetic profile supporting dosing every three months or longer, and was well tolerated.
Ethyreal’s ETHY-001 targets the underlying cause of Thyroid Eye Disease and Graves’ Disease, with subcutaneous dosing designed for infrequent administration. A first-in-human trial is set to begin in late 2026, and preclinical data will be presented at ENDO in June.
