Protein structure prediction model for biomolecular complexes spanning protein, DNA, RNA, and ligand inputs.
Currently Offered
ESMFold2 is the ESM line's structure prediction model, combining ESMC 6B language-model embeddings with looped folding layers and a diffusion module that produces atomic-resolution predictions. It handles protein, DNA, RNA, and small-molecule ligand inputs in one complex, accepts optional multiple-sequence alignment, and includes a significantly faster single-sequence mode.
Released as part of the June 2026 ESM world-model release, it is available through the Biohub Platform API, as open weights under the MIT license, and through the free Fold web tool. A published binder-design protocol uses it to generate de novo minibinders and antibody-derived fragments with nanomolar affinity validated across five therapeutic targets; the model card notes results require experimental validation.
