Firewave uses AI-powered IoT sensors for early wildfire detection, preventing small fires from escalating. We're dedicated to protecting communities and ecosystems.
Firewave began with the view that wildfire response fails at detection, with crews unable to find fires before they grow beyond control. The company installs networks of acoustic sensors near sensitive areas and uses models trained on thousands of sounds to separate fire signatures from background noise. It builds both the detection devices and the analysis behind them.
The system aims to catch fires a few square meters wide within minutes, where thin smoke and dense cover hide first sparks from traditional detection. Sound-based sensing adds an early layer that pairs with autonomous response tools able to handle small spots. It serves forestry management bodies, national park authorities, infrastructure operators, municipalities, rural communities, and summer camps near dense vegetation.
