HopFlyt develops long-endurance, hybrid-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft; its family of unmanned aircraft systems combines a patented channel-wing propulsion system with hybrid-electric power. The company was started to address the cost and efficiency limits of conventional vertical-lift aircraft for routine, smaller-payload logistics missions. Squall is a tactical Group 3 hybrid-electric vertical takeoff and landing unmanned aircraft system.

Squall’s self-starting hybrid generator is designed to provide up to 12 hours of fixed-wing endurance without swapping batteries between flights. Cyclone-M combines runway-independent launch and recovery, heavy-fuel hybrid power, ultra-long-endurance fixed-wing cruise, and a large modular payload system to enable advanced operations in contested domains.
