Research Notes
Because the server is generated from Instantly's own V2 API specification, its tool surface tracks the platform's endpoint set rather than a hand-picked subset. A team already running Instantly can reach campaign, lead, and deliverability operations from the assistant it already uses.
The connector is included with an Instantly subscription rather than sold as a separate product, and the vendor hosts the server, so a buyer supplies an API key instead of deploying and maintaining an MCP process. Comparable servers published by other outbound platforms follow the same vendor-hosted pattern.
Instantly announced a developer platform that bundled API v2, a TypeScript and JavaScript SDK, a CLI, an MCP server for AI tools, OAuth, and webhooks, presented to developers as a toolkit for building on the platform. The MCP server is documented as one part of that developer surface.
Alongside the developer platform, Instantly published developer documentation covering the MCP server's introduction, quickstart, tool categories, and authentication. The connector is documented for Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, and other streamable-HTTP clients.
Instantly does not sell the MCP connector as a standalone line item. Its help centre states that the MCP server is free with an Instantly subscription and that an account with API access is the only requirement.
Costs therefore follow the underlying platform rather than the connector. The vendor meters AI features and lead data through Instantly Credits bought alongside subscription plans, and the API key a client supplies carries whatever scope its workspace grants.
Instantly MCP is the hosted Model Context Protocol server that Instantly publishes for its cold email platform. It runs at mcp.instantly.ai and presents the vendor's V2 API as callable MCP tools, so an assistant can work with campaigns, leads, email, analytics, and sending accounts without direct API programming.
The vendor documents the connector across its public help centre and developer documentation, listing campaign, lead, email, analytics, and account categories and describing the tool set as generated from the API specification. Client setup passes an Instantly API key as an authorization header or embeds it in the server URL.
