Memo

Memorable was acquired by Reddit in August 2024 and its technology and team were integrated into Reddit's advertising business. The standalone Memorable product and brand are no longer active, though the underlying creative intelligence capabilities continue inside Reddit's ad tech stack.

Founders Sebastian Acevedo and Camilo Fosco joined Reddit in senior product and engineering roles following the acquisition. The company's official website, memorable.io, now redirects or resolves to a non-functional landing, reflecting the shutdown of the independent service.

Product Overview

Memorable's platform applied computer vision, machine learning, and cognitive science to predict how advertising images and videos would perform before they ran. Customers could upload creative assets and receive predictions and recommendations on memorability, saliency, attention, brand lift, and conversion potential. The product also provided competitive benchmarking, allowing brands to compare their creatives against previous campaigns and competitor ads.

The platform served large advertisers and consumer brands, including Unilever, L'Oréal, and Coca-Cola, and integrated with major ad channels such as Meta and TikTok. After Reddit acquired Memorable in August 2024, the underlying technology was folded into Reddit's ad stack to support automated creative optimization and selection for Reddit advertisers.

Competitive Advantages

Memorable differentiated itself by combining cognitive science with large-scale human-response data to predict creative performance, rather than relying solely on historical campaign metrics or A/B testing. Its models were trained on millions of human responses to over one million ads, giving it a proprietary dataset for forecasting memorability and attention.

Competitors in the ad creative intelligence space included generalist creative testing tools, social ad optimization platforms, and emerging generative AI creative suites. Memorable's focus on pre-launch prediction and its academic roots in MIT computer vision and cognitive science research set it apart before its acquisition by Reddit in 2024.
