MSCI Indexes are a family of equity benchmarks calculated under MSCI's Global Investable Market Index methodology, designed to represent large- and mid-cap performance across 23 developed and 27 emerging markets. The flagship MSCI ACWI covers approximately 85 percent of the global investable equity opportunity set across more than 2,900 constituents in 11 sectors and is divided into the MSCI World and MSCI Emerging Markets components.

Institutional investors license the indexes as benchmarks for global mandates, as the underlying basis for ETFs and structured products, and for regional, country, sector, and factor subsets. The franchise competes with S&P Dow Jones Indices, FTSE Russell, Bloomberg Indices, and Morningstar Indexes for benchmark mandates and ETF licensing revenue.
