Owner.com sells an AI-driven online ordering and marketing platform to independent restaurants.
Owner sells a single subscription platform that runs an independent restaurant's whole digital presence rather than a set of tools the operator has to assemble. The bundle covers an AI-built website, online ordering, a branded mobile app, automated SEO pages, a reviews engine, listings management, loyalty and rewards, email and text marketing, delivery, catering, and Owner's own point-of-sale hardware and software.
The company frames the product as deliberately opinionated: it rejects customization so that an agentic system can run split tests across every digital property and apply changes without the owner deciding anything technical. Owner states that restaurants on the platform grow online traffic by about 40% within 30 days and that visitors to an Owner site are more than twice as likely to place an order.
Owner sizes its starting market at roughly $44 billion a year: about 645,000 independent restaurants in the United States spending around 7% of revenue on technology, marketing and payments. Its stated phase two is international expansion into the United Kingdom, Canada, the European Union and Australia, which the company puts at roughly $105 billion. Phase three extends the same platform to other local brick-and-mortar categories such as salons, spas and independent grocers, which Owner sizes at about $785 billion.
The company grounds the timing in two changes it says are irreversible: consumers now research and decide online even for offline purchases, with roughly 77% of restaurant ordering decisions made online; and AI has compressed how long it takes to build the software, letting Owner open new products, geographies and verticals sooner. Owner says it will sequence new verticals and countries by watching which ones pull hardest on its free entry-level AI offerings.
Owner argues that independent restaurants previously had two poor options: tools that push technical decisions onto non-technical owners, and consultants who cost too much. Because Owner runs every one of a customer's digital properties itself, it can launch thousands of split tests and apply the winners automatically, which is the mechanism behind its claimed traffic and conversion lift.
The company also cites a distribution advantage. It acquires customers through free products such as its AI website grader, then expands those accounts into the full suite and eventually its point of sale. Owner states it has more than doubled annual recurring revenue every year since inception while staying in the top 10% of startups on both growth and efficiency, and that it is consistently rated first across several G2 restaurant-software categories.
Owner publishes two month-to-month plans with no long-term contract, and offers special rates for multi-location operators. The Flexible plan is $249 per month plus a 5% restaurant fee per order, so cost scales with sales. The Flat Rate plan is $499 per month with no additional restaurant fees and is positioned for restaurants doing at least $5,000 per month in online sales.
Both plans include the complete platform rather than tiering features: the AI-optimized website, online ordering, branded mobile app, automated SEO pages, loyalty and rewards, AI-powered email and text marketing, and direct catering orders. Setup and migration with a dedicated specialist, chargeback protection and 24/7 support are also included on every plan. The published contrast is with third-party delivery marketplace commissions, which Owner's customer quotes describe at 25% to 40%.
