The Parlin DuPont Finishes Employees Federal Credit Union was founded in 1937 by employees of the DuPont Finishes Department in Parlin, New Jersey, and originally served employees and their families at E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company.

The Parlin DuPont Employees Federal Credit Union began as the Parlin DuPont Finishes Employees Federal Credit Union in 1937, serving Finishes plant employees with loans and savings. In 1983, its charter expanded to include the Parlin DuPont Photo Products Division, increasing membership and assets. It later began serving local businesses.
