PillPack is a full-service online pharmacy that sorts prescription medications by date and time into individual dose packets and delivers them monthly to customers across the United States. The service is designed to simplify medication management and improve adherence for people with complex regimens. Amazon acquired the company, and it now operates as an independently run subsidiary under the PillPack from Amazon Pharmacy brand.
Its in-house PharmacyOS platform coordinates refills, renewals, shipment timing and customer notifications, and PillPack works directly with prescribers and insurers on behalf of the customer. The service carries no separate subscription fee, so customers pay only for their medications. PillPack is licensed nationwide in the United States, excluding Hawaii, and participates in major pharmacy benefit manager networks and most Medicare Part D plans.
