Polymorph sold a white-label ad-serving and monetization platform to publishers and app developers that wanted to run advertising across their own apps and sites without building the infrastructure themselves. It combined a custom ad server, a software development kit, and serving interfaces with a demand layer that aggregated demand-side platforms, exchanges, and ad networks behind one integration. Customers paid an upfront subscription and kept control of their auction logic and pricing.
Against the traditional supply-side and header-bidding platforms it named as its alternatives, Polymorph competed on transparency and extensibility: customers connected their own demand partners and reached the auction logic in the serving software, with reporting and pricing visible and untied to their own ad revenue. That openness, rather than a closed vendor stack or handing monetization to a network, was the position it competed on.
