Puro.earth was first to market with a standard dedicated to engineered carbon removal and reports a 74% share of all delivered engineered removals. The Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market has approved it as a CCP-Eligible programme, a distinction held by few crediting programmes.
Its registry runs on infrastructure owned by Nasdaq, giving counterparties the backing and insolvency protection of a global exchange, and its CORCX and CORCCHAR indexes with Nasdaq Copenhagen give the market published price benchmarks. More than one million CORCs have been issued, a volume the company states is more than any other engineered CDR standard and registry.
Supplier certification carries a EUR 1,400 annual fee plus a per-certificate charge that steps down from EUR 10.00 to EUR 0.40 across 37 volume tiers, with a EUR 12,000 flat annual price for suppliers issuing fewer than 1,000 CORCs. Retirement costs EUR 0.25 per certificate, waived under long-term offtakes, and secondary trading carries no fee.
Puro.earth covers the cost of independent audits, so verification adds no direct supplier cost, and premium services such as Issuance Plus batches and the Preliminary Assessment are quoted through sales contact. Methodology premiums add 6-12% for enhanced rock weathering, terrestrial biomass storage, and carbonated materials.
