Terminal-based AI agents for configurable, trigger-based quality workflows across CI/CD, webhooks, and MCP integration.
Qodo CLI - Research Notes
Qodo CLI was introduced in alpha as Qodo Command (also referred to as Qodo Gen CLI) on June 25, 2025, by Qodo (formerly CodiumAI). The open-source qodo-ai/command repository shows initial project files committed in late May 2025, and the launch was announced through an official Qodo blog post and a PRNewswire release.
The product positions Qodo's review intelligence as a terminal-first, agent-framework experience: developers configure agents in TOML files, run them locally or in CI/CD, and expose them as MCP servers. Qodo later unified Qodo Command under the Qodo Platform brand, listing it alongside Qodo Git, Qodo IDE, Qodo Context Engine, and Qodo Rules.
Qodo CLI is a command-line interface for building, managing, and running configurable AI agents across the software development lifecycle. It lets developers define agents via TOML configuration files that specify triggers, inputs, actions, and results, then run those agents in the terminal, an interactive web UI, CI/CD pipelines, webhooks, or as Model Context Protocol servers.
Pre-built agents cover code review, test-coverage analysis, and release-notes generation. The tool supports leading coding LLMs, is distributed through npm as @qodo/command, and is offered as a free CLI with enterprise support options.
