Reveal Imaging Technologies

Reveal Imaging Technologies built certified explosives detection systems for checked baggage screening at airports and was acquired by Science Applications International Corp. The company was a threat-detection products and services provider founded in direct response to the U.S. government’s post-9/11 mandate for aviation security screening, and it initially focused on developing technology to screen checked baggage at airports accurately and efficiently.

The TSA certified Reveal Imaging Technologies’ Reveal CT-80 EDS to automatically inspect checked baggage for explosives. The Reveal CT-80DR+ baggage inspection system combined dual-energy X-ray CT imaging with explosives-detection technology. Reveal EDS technology met EDS standards set by the TSA, the EU’s ECAC, and Israel’s ISA.
