Scandy Pro is a free iOS app that turns TrueDepth and LiDAR iPhones and iPads into full-colour 3D scanners.
Scandy Pro captures high-resolution, full-colour 3D scans on iPhone X through iPhone 14 and iPad Pro models, using the TrueDepth camera and, on newer hardware, the LiDAR sensor. Meshing runs on the device, so the preview shown while scanning is the model produced, and an editing suite sets resolution from 1.0 mm for small objects to 4.0 mm for larger ones, with noise filtering, colour, wireframe, lighting, decimation, smoothing, hole filling and cropping. Scans export as PLY, OBJ, STL, USDZ or GLB at millimetre to inch scale.
The app is free to download, with full access sold as a subscription at 1.99 USD per week, 5.99 USD per month or 49.99 USD per year, while casual users can pay for individual exports. Scandy later added Scandy Enterprise, a one-time-purchase edition with unlimited scans and exports and no subscription, aimed at schools and businesses. Both editions share the same first-party privacy policy, and Scandy discontinued the Android app in 2018.
