Sensoneo provides smart waste management systems, fill-level sensors, and deposit return scheme IT platforms worldwide.
Sensoneo employs more than 160 professionals across four offices in Bratislava, Brno, Boston, and Singapore, with all research and development concentrated in Bratislava and hardware manufactured in the EU. Its teams serve waste operators, scheme administrators, and producers in more than 90 countries across five continents.
The company holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 27001 certifications and has been professionally audited by Deloitte, with cybersecurity coverage from established insurers. An active presence across Europe, the United States, the MENA region, and Southeast Asia gives regional sales, delivery, and support coverage for its sensor and software customers.
Sensoneo builds smart waste management technology that spans fill-level sensors, collection monitoring software, and the IT platforms that operate deposit return schemes. Its systems measure bins with ultrasonic and radar sensors, plan collection routes, and run take-back and producer responsibility programmes for cities, haulers, and industry.
Deployments exceed 55,000 sensors across more than 600 projects in over 90 countries, processing more than 50 million measurements each year for over 400 active sensor customers. In Madrid the company monitors 11,100 bins, which its platform records as the largest smart waste installation worldwide.
Deposit return schemes continue to roll out across Europe and Sensoneo supplies the IT behind recent launches, including Austria on 1 January 2025 and Portugal on 10 April 2026, alongside mature systems in Ireland, Slovakia, and Malta. Ireland's scheme alone passed 2.5 billion returned containers within about two years on the company's platform.
The company is extending its reach beyond collection monitoring: the dpp.gs platform targets EU Digital Product Passport compliance, and it joined the EU IoT-Zero research project developing near-zero-energy IoT for 6G-era networks. Sales coverage across the United States, the MENA region, and Southeast Asia supports growth outside its European core.
Sensoneo pairs its own sensor hardware with collection software and nationwide deposit return IT, so a single vendor can cover bin monitoring, route planning, and scheme administration. Operating deposit return IT in nine countries with collection rates above 90 percent gives it nationwide references few waste-technology vendors hold.
Customer outcomes add evidence: Prague runs more than 3,000 of its sensors while saving about 156 dollars per monitored bin each year with payback inside one year, and one fulfilment-centre customer cut waste handling labour from seven to four FTEs, saving more than EUR 85,000 a year.
