SOND builds AI-powered sleep earbuds that sense physiological signals and respond in real time to improve sleep.
Dreambuds are SOND's flagship in-ear sleep system designed to sense the body overnight and respond in real time. They capture twelve physiological signals—including respiration, heart rate variability, sleep staging, body position, snoring, and seismocardiography—and stream the data to a cloud-based AI sleep coach.
The coach selects from a library of more than 500 audio programs or generates personalized content such as breathing exercises, soundscapes, and sleep stories. The earbuds work phone-free through a Wi-Fi-enabled charging case with an OLED display, physical controls, and a built-in speaker.
The sleep technology market has been dominated by passive solutions such as white noise machines, basic sleep trackers, and noise-masking earbuds. SOND is positioning Dreambuds as a next-generation device that moves the category from monitoring to real-time, personalized intervention.
If the company can deliver on comfort, battery life, and clinical-grade sensing in a consumer form factor, Dreambuds could set a new expectation for sleep wearables. The product is currently available by reservation, with mass production targeted for late 2026.
SOND differentiates Dreambuds from passive sleep trackers and noise-masking earbuds by closing the loop between sensing and intervention. While competitors typically block noise or report morning sleep scores, Dreambuds adjust audio in real time based on live physiological signals.
The founding team combines deep experience from Bose's consumer sleep business and Google's engineering organization, plus MIT biosensor research. Scientific advisors from Harvard Medical School and UT Dallas lend clinical credibility to the platform.
