Space BD organizes its work into three business lines: Space Infrastructure, Microgravity Utilization, and Space x HR Development. Within Space Infrastructure the company supports satellite launch arrangements, in-orbit demonstration and deployment including deployment from the International Space Station, satellite transportation, and procurement support for satellite components and test equipment.
The Microgravity Utilization line serves life-science and materials experimentation, including protein crystal growth operations carried out for the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency. The Space x HR Development line runs practical satellite programs and corporate training offerings such as HURDLES for organizations entering the space sector.

In January 2026 the company announced a Series C raise of 2.4 billion yen structured as a third-party allotment led by Mitsubishi HC Capital, and by June 2026 it reported that the same round had completed a final close exceeding 3.5 billion yen in total. The June announcement also put cumulative funding across all rounds at 6.68 billion yen.
That capital position supports the launch-services firm's plans across satellite launch support, in-orbit demonstration, and microgravity research offerings. Its investors include Mitsubishi HC Capital, the lead backer of the most recent round.
