2014SpinLaunch is a space technology company developing a kinetic mass-accelerator launch system and the Meridian Space LEO broadband constellation.
Meridian Space differentiates through a low-cost architecture rooted in SpinLaunch's kinetic-launch heritage, using transparent bent-pipe payloads and electronically scanned reflectarray antennas rather than complex on-board processing. Its fixed-track orbital design and 5G NTN open, waveform-agnostic standard reduce ground-integration cost.
The constellation targets multiple terabits per second of sellable capacity with service level agreements at committed information rates, serving maritime, national security, mobile backhaul, and aviation segments that incumbents under-serve on price and SLA guarantees.

Meridian Space is late to LEO broadband relative to Starlink, which already operates thousands of satellites, and Amazon's Project Kuiper, which has begun deployment. SpinLaunch has no satellites on orbit, with only an in-orbit demonstrator planned for 2026 and an initial 280-spacecraft build growing toward at least 1,200.
The company has limited satcom revenue and operational track record, and raised a modest $30 million in 2025 against far larger constellation capex, leaving execution and funding risk before commercial service begins.

LEO satellite broadband and 5G NTN connectivity is a rapidly growing market driven by enterprise, government, maritime, aviation, and mobile-backhaul demand for reliable high-speed coverage beyond fiber reach. Multiple terabit-per-second constellations are now competing to serve these underserved global segments.
SpinLaunch positions Meridian Space as a low-cost, SLA-backed entrant against incumbents like Starlink and Project Kuiper, targeting differentiated enterprise and sovereign-government customers rather than direct-to-consumer broadband.
