Talison Lithium, in collaboration with the State Government, the Southwest Development Commission, Arc Infrastructure and Aurizon is undertaking a study to investigate the feasibility of recommissioning the Greenbushes to Bunbury railway.
A Joint Feasibility Study (Study) into recommissioning the Greenbushes-to-Bunbury rail line has been completed by the WA Government and industry partners, led by Talison Lithium.
Talison says it supplies 20% of the world’s lithium, used to manufacture electric vehicles and power storage batteries. It says growth at its Greenbushes operation is needed to meet demand and will support employment, community investment, and local businesses.
Talison says recent blasts increased felt impacts in the community and acknowledges feedback shared through community channels and social media. It is committed to reducing impacts wherever possible.
