City-Gas Business is the mainland-China gas distribution offering of Towngas Smart Energy Company Limited (HKEx 01083), the mainland arm of The Hong Kong and China Gas Company (Towngas). It operates more than 190 city-gas projects serving over 18 million household, commercial, and industrial customers, with total gas sales above 17.3 billion cubic meters in 2025; the mainland has been the group's core expansion market since 1994.
The business runs a multi-source supply model with independent LNG import procurement, terminal unloading, downstream distribution, and storage-based peak shaving, coordinated with parent Towngas's group-wide gas supply chain segment. It also delivers Gas+ integrated energy solutions to public institutions such as hospitals, schools, and government agencies, competing for municipal and industrial gas demand across China.
