Root raises an €8 million seed round to build its agricultural supply-chain emissions platform, led by Point Nine with participation from Project A and other investors. Its RootOS product collects primary data from farmers for food and beverage companies, models product footprints, and identifies emissions hotspots; the company says it works with more than 10,000 farmers and clients including dairy plants and fast-food chains, though it does not name them. The platform currently serves the DACH market and some Eastern European countries, with expansion across Europe planned this year.

French startup Dust raises $16 million in a Series A led by Sequoia Capital to expand its platform for creating company-specific AI assistants connected to internal data. The assistants draw on sources such as Notion, Google Drive, Intercom and Slack, and teams can use them for support, HR, engineering and sales workflows. Dust reports $1 million in annual recurring revenue and names Watershed, Alan, Qonto, Pennylane and PayFit as customers.

Cloud platform startup Render raises a $50 million Series B led by Bessemer Venture Partners. Existing investors General Catalyst, South Park Common Fund, and Addition also participate, bringing Render’s total funding to $77.5 million. The company says it will use the funding to expand its platform for larger engineering teams and improve its workflow and tooling; customers include Watershed and Red Bull.
