DFKI and Inria establish an open, binational French-German Center on Artificial Intelligence through an agreement signed at VivaTech 2026. WALLIX and Inria sign a strategic partnership at VivaTech 2026 to develop trusted AI for identity and access cybersecurity. Initiated through the French DGE’s Étincelles programme, the collaboration targets behavioral analytics, intelligent access governance, non-human identities, continuous compliance, and sovereign AI models.
French AI minister Clara Chappaz announces INESIA, a national institute coordinating existing organizations to evaluate and improve AI safety in France. Rather than forming a new legal entity, it brings together Inria, ANSSI, LNE and PEReN, co-piloted by SGDSN and DGE. Its work covers systemic AI risk analysis, regulatory support, and model performance and reliability evaluation, while connecting France to the international network of AI Safety Institutes.
