Phaze Inc., a startup from Parsec Technologies founders, launched a high-performance remote desktop platform enabling AI agents and humans to access shared, powerful workstations remotely. The platform uses low-latency streaming and a proprietary Model Context Protocol to let agents operate workstations directly, reducing reliance on APIs. Enterprises can dynamically allocate expensive hardware—costing up to $10,000—across users and AI agents, maximizing efficiency. The $8.75M seed round from a16z and others will accelerate customer onboarding and feature development.
Board, the New York startup founded by Mirror creator Brynn Putnam, raises a $20 million Series A led by Union Square Ventures. Its $399 touchscreen recognizes physical game pieces, and the company says the device is in tens of thousands of homes, schools, hospitals, and restaurants across all 50 states; 85% of customers average at least 30 play sessions per month. Board also plans to launch Board Studio, an AI-powered game-creation platform, later this year.
