Level Ventures raises $104 million for a debut fund that backs emerging managers, invests in selected companies from their portfolios, and sources startups directly. Its in-house data model scores fund managers and tracks portfolio companies in sectors including enterprise automation, deep tech, and life sciences, while human judgment remains part of investment decisions. The firm has backed Air Street Capital, Emergent Ventures, and Work-Bench, and plans for its second fund to allocate 75% to funds and 25% to companies.
Level Ventures introduces a next-generation fund-of-funds (FoF) leveraging advanced technology to identify and invest in top-tier global seed funds. The initiative also provides co-investment and support for these funds as they scale their high-growth portfolio companies. The strategy targets high-performing seed funds to enhance access to early-stage innovation.
