Rocket Chemical Company Lists on Nasdaq; Later Renames as WD-40 Company After Flagship Brand

WD-40 Company, originally known as the Rocket Chemical Company, listed its shares on the NASDAQ Stock Market, marking a milestone in the transition from a small San Diego specialty chemical formulator to a publicly traded consumer and industrial products company. The listing gave the company access to public capital markets as it expanded consumer retail distribution of the WD-40 Multi-Use Product. The company later renamed itself WD-40 Company after its flagship product to reflect the brand identity that had become synonymous with the product in global hardware and automotive retail channels. The Nasdaq listing under the ticker symbol WDFC has supported decades of shareholder value creation, consistent dividend payments, and strategic brand acquisitions.

Public EV startup with an indicted CEO is looking to raise an additional $100 million

But that’s not quite true. A startup called Thunder Power Holdings went public on the Nasdaq exchange in June through a SPAC, and is now trying to raise up to $100 million more through a share sale deal. All this is happening even as the CEO of the company, Wellen Sham, has been indicted by the Taiwanese government
