Palo Alto-based LiveX AI Inc., a company building interactive experience artificial intelligence agents for retail and hospitality environments, today announced AI City, its kiosk-driven, life-size, human-like AI hosts.
The company’s products, currently deployed in more than 100 sites, engage guests through life-sized human avatars across retail, technology, hospitality and entertainment. Customer sites include PUMA stores, San José Mineta International Airport, SAP Center, the San Jose Sharks stadium, El Camino Hospital, and Marriott and Hilton hotels.
“We believe intelligence of this nature should meet people wherever they are, live and in person, where life happens,” said President and Chief AI Officer Jia Li. “AI should be greeting travelers at the airport, guiding a grandmother through the hospital, helping every shopper like the best employee in the building or answering sixty thousand fans at once.”
A traditional interactive kiosk relies on rigid menus and doesn’t converse with the user; it also doesn’t automatically translate into the user’s native language by simply listening to them speak. An AI City kiosk can see and hear the other person and react almost like another person, using real-time discovery to provide personalized help.
The company added that these kiosks are coming as companies try to bring other physical AI products, such as general-purpose robotics, to market, but these are still years away from widespread deployment.
As a kiosk, a user could walk up and see a projected AI person who can assist with navigation, product recommendations, event guidance or answer questions about the venue. According to LiveX, the City kiosk products have been expanded with interactive 3D maps for location-aware navigation and discovery, 3D products and multilingual translation.
LiveX said such a system could assist customers with product, venue and event questions, enabling staff to walk around with more customers at the site and handle more complex problems requiring deeper oversight.
“AI that can understand people and their surroundings is opening new ways to make everyday spaces more helpful and accessible,” said Madison Huang, senior director of product marketing for physical AI at Nvidia Corp.
The LiveX Interactive Intelligence platform runs on Nvidia RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell Server Edition graphics processing units and uses the Metropolis VSS Blueprint to build visual AI agents powered by Nvidia Cosmos, an open world model builder. Nvidia also provided a surface for supplying libraries from Omniverse, which delivers digital twins for location-aware applications.
LiveX said its platform brings together proprietary models it developed and trained for human interaction, shaped on real-world interaction data and experience through live deployments. Its Omni Model provides multimodal understanding and responses, while a noise management model lets it assist users even with significant background noise.
