Commute.org is a Transportation Management Association (TMA) that designs and runs commuter-incentive programs for people traveling to, from, and within San Mateo County, California. The nonprofit organization works with employers, colleges, and public agencies to make sustainable travel — transit, carpooling, vanpooling, bicycling, and walking — easier and more rewarding than driving alone.
Its offerings include a Guaranteed Ride Home program, carpool and vanpool incentives, bicycle-to-work rewards, transit trial programs, and seasonal commuter challenges, managed through the CommuteStar tracking app and the my.commute.org portal. The programs are funded by C/CAG of San Mateo County, the San Mateo County Transportation Authority, and the Bay Area Air Quality Management District.
