EEP Africa

EEP Africa, founded in 2010, is a multi-donor fund dedicated to accelerating clean energy access and promoting sustainable, inclusive green growth in Southern and East Africa. The organization provides early-stage grants and catalytic financing to innovative clean energy projects, technologies, and business models. EEP Africa's core mission is to support pioneering projects that have a positive impact on lives and livelihoods, focusing on renewable energy solutions that can drive economic development and environmental sustainability.

Notable affiliated people and investors include various international donors and development agencies. EEP Africa has achieved significant milestones, such as channeling over EUR 57 million into more than 200 projects, reducing or avoiding 1.8 million tonnes of CO2e emissions, and enhancing the lives of millions of people. The fund has also expanded its reach to three new countries, furthering its impact on the clean energy landscape in the region.
