The National Italian American Foundation (NIAF) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan educational organization dedicated to promoting Italian American culture and heritage. Founded in 1975, NIAF offers a range of programs including scholarships, grants, heritage travel, and mentoring aimed at fostering educational opportunities and cultural understanding. The foundation also serves as a key resource and advocate for the Italian American community in Washington, D.C., working closely with the Italian American Congressional Delegation and the White House.

NIAF has made significant strides in advancing its mission through various impactful initiatives. It has awarded numerous scholarships and grants to support the education of young Italian Americans and fostered stronger US-Italy relations through cultural exchange programs. The foundation's advocacy efforts have ensured that the interests of the Italian American community are represented at the highest levels of government. NIAF's leadership includes a dedicated board of directors and regional leaders who work tirelessly to uphold the foundation's goals.
