The LEAP OBT is a rugged 12-channel duplex optical transceiver optimized for multimode fiber at 850 nm, achieving up to 28.05 Gbps per channel and 300 Gbps aggregate while drawing an average 0.5 W per channel with clock and data recovery enabled. A dedicated BGA socket and removable 24-fiber MT ferrule interface mount the one-square-inch module to the host PCB, keeping the optical interface separable for manufacturability.
Certified to MIL-STD-883 shock, vibration and -40 to +85 degrees C operating limits, the transceiver complies with VITA 66.1, 66.2, 66.4, 66.5 and 67 standards and runs in SOSA-aligned VPX systems across datacenters, supercomputers and 5G broadband infrastructure.
