Apple's system that mirrors iPhone navigation, calls, messages, and music on a car's built-in display.
CarPlay is presented on Apple's official page as a way to use iPhone content — maps, calls, messages, and music — on a car's built-in display through vehicle controls and voice, available across more than 800 vehicle models.
Apple distributes CarPlay through participating automakers, and it competes with phone-projection platforms that run on Android devices.
Adds products that compete with one of Apple CarPlay’s direct competitors but not with Apple CarPlay itself. They are shaded, and Linked Through names the direct competitor each one competes with.
