Seattle District Heating supplies steam through CenTrio’s underground network to commercial buildings and healthcare facilities.
CenTrio’s Seattle District Heating service supplies steam to commercial buildings, hospitals, retail facilities, hotels, and residential properties across downtown Seattle and First Hill. The system serves about 140 buildings over 28.5 million square feet and uses 20 miles of steam piping.
Its district service centralizes thermal production and operation so customers can obtain building heat through an existing network. CenTrio operates the system around the clock and maintains a clean-energy roadmap for reducing emissions. The service is a conventional district-steam alternative to eSteam’s renewable-electricity-generated steam.
