The Fund for Foreign Investment is a Spanish State trust fund managed by COFIDES, created by law in 1997, that takes temporary or direct minority equity positions in the foreign subsidiaries and internationalisation vehicles of Spanish companies. Its instrument menu spans equity, quasi-capital, senior and junior loans with co-investment, corporate bonds, and project finance.
A viable private project carrying Spanish interest qualifies, with tickets from 250,000 euros and a 60 million euro ceiling per operation. Access flows through COFIDES as the designated fund manager, and the fund's budget and asset allocation are published by the company.
