STELLAR is Copernicus Therapeutics' non-viral nucleic acid delivery platform, which compacts DNA into nanoparticles for receptor-mediated delivery to cell nuclei. It is designed for repeat dosing without the immune response that limits AAV vectors, accepts payloads unconstrained by viral capsid size, and is assembled from cGMP off-the-shelf components.
The platform has been validated in lung, eye, and brain tissue, and positive Phase 1/2 cystic fibrosis data were published in Human Gene Therapy. STELLAR powers Copernicus programs in cystic fibrosis, Stargardt disease, Parkinson disease, diabetic retinopathy, and opioid use disorder.
