CorPower Ocean designs modular wave energy converter arrays for utility-scale clean power from ocean waves.
CorPower Ocean's point-absorber converters are engineered for high energy density per tonne of structure, a design the company states is several times more efficient than earlier generations of wave energy devices.
Storm survivability is the other core claim: the devices detune to ride out extreme sea states, and the company has run open-ocean validation off the Portuguese coast to demonstrate that behaviour under real Atlantic conditions.
In July 2026 the C4 converter received a world-first DNV prototype certificate for wave energy technology, an independent third-party verification that few wave energy developers have obtained.

Wave energy remains a small share of global generation, but its availability profile makes it complementary to solar and wind in firm renewable portfolios, and a 2026 CorPower Ocean study modelled wave energy as a capacity and cost reducer for data-centre power supply.
European policy support is the main near-term demand driver, with EU Innovation Fund, Horizon Europe and EIC Accelerator programmes funding both technology development and first commercial arrays such as the 10 MW VianaWave project in Portugal.
CorPower Ocean leads the EUR 30 million POWER-Farm EU project, which is set to validate wave energy arrays in UK waters, placing the company at the centre of Europe's emerging wave energy supply chain.
CorPower Ocean has been selected for the Mastercard Lighthouse MASSIV Spring 2026 Program, reflecting its growth trajectory and sustainability focus. It is also backed by EIT InnoEnergy as an investor and ecosystem partner.
The company was awarded up to €17.5 million from the European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator under the Renewable energy resources challenge, one of 71 winners from 1,211 applicants. CorPower Ocean also leads the €30 million POWER-Farm EU Project, partly funded by a €19 million Horizon Europe grant.

CorPack is the commercial product offering of CorPower Ocean: modular arrays of wave energy converters that aggregate to 10–30 MW per installation. Each unit is a point-absorber buoy designed for high energy density and storm survivability. The product is sold with a service wrap including opportunity assessment, project development, and project delivery.
The C4 device has undergone storm tests in Portugal; the C6 unit is rated at approximately 300 kW. The company cites a Spanish data centre case where 54 MW of wave capacity eliminated the need for 301 MW of wind overbuilding and saved €15 million annually.
