CorPower Ocean AB is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden. Founded in 2012 by Patrik Möller, the company develops point-absorber wave energy converters and commercializes them through modular CorPack arrays generating 10–30 MW per installation. Its technology is billed as five times more efficient per tonne than prior state-of-the-art designs and has demonstrated storm survivability in the Atlantic Ocean off northern Portugal.
The company has raised approximately €118 million in total funding, split roughly evenly between public grants and private equity. Major backing includes a €32 million Series B1 round, up to €17.5 million from the EIC Accelerator, and a €40 million EU Innovation Fund grant for the VianaWave project. CorPower Ocean operates teams across Sweden, Norway, Scotland, and Portugal, and counts strategic investors including Tokyo Gas and GTT among its backers.
