Cristália Laboratory is a Brazilian industrial complex focused on pharmaceuticals, pharmaceutical chemicals, biotechnology, research, development, and innovation. It manages drug development from molecule conception to finished product.
Cristália plans to invest about R$54 million in phases 1–3 of Lipossomo de Resgate, a first-of-its-kind overdose-reversal drug developed with UFG. The planned clinical studies follow preclinical results and advance the drug into testing across three phases.
Cristália acquired Takeda’s unit in Jaguariúna, São Paulo, as part of its expansion strategy. The acquisition adds certified production capacity for solid medicines.
Laboratório Cristália advances polilaminina, a spinal-cord injury therapy developed with the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), after Brazil’s Anvisa authorizes a phase 1 clinical trial. The company has invested approximately R$100 million to R$150 million in the treatment and has global ambitions for it.
